SHOW NEWSLETTER 2019

NEWSLETTER NO.3

Dear Parents

Excitement is building, the show is just over two months away so there’s lots for us all to do! We hope that this has all the information that you need right now.

Costumes and Accessories

Costume bills are going out a dance at a time so please settle them straight away. If paying by cash or cheque, please put your payment in an envelope with your child’s name and invoice number on. If paying by BACS into the Show account please reference it with your child’s name and invoice number.

For the organisation of the SHOW all costumes must be paid for and collected by Saturday 14th December. Any issues can then be resolved before the start of the new term and theatre rehearsals begin.

Once you have paid for your costumes you may take them home- Harriet will give them to you with a check list.

However excited your child is PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD WEAR HER/HIS COSTUME BEFORE THE SHOW.

Please name all costumes and if it is not given to you on a hanger please put it on a named hanger.

Stage Tights

All girls from Primary Ballet (11am Saturday class) and up will need stage tights and NOT pink ballet tights. Stage tights are available to buy now from Miss Harriet. There are plenty if you want to buy a spare pair. Children’s: £3.99. Adults: £4.99

Tiny Tots and Pre Primary will need white Ballet socks also available to buy from Miss Harriet. £2.99 a pair

All girls in the Opening number need stage tights.

Stage tights and Ballet socks should be ordered and paid for by Saturday 14th December.

Ballet Shoes

For the show pink Ballet shoes need to be new or very clean. We would prefer they are bought through the school so that they are all the same.

Bags

It’s important to keep costumes and accessories clean and organised.

Costume Carry Bags keep your child’s costumes clean and organised when transporting them. They cost £17.00. Organiser bags for dance shoes and hair accessories are also available and cost £17.00.

Please look in our catalogue and order from Miss Harriet.

The last date for orders will Saturday 14th December.

Helping to Make Our SHOW A Success

We need lots of help- from dressing room, to front of house, selling raffle tickets, and clearing up so please do volunteer if you can- it’s good fun!

Dressing Room Help

We need an awful lot of dressing room help for each show. Ideally, 15/20 helpers for each performance are required. So far, I have only had 10 offers of help! Can you help?

As soon as you know which performance you will be watching and which one you can help out at please let one of us know.

There will be a pre-show meeting at The Werfa, time and date to be confirmed. (This lasts about an hour), for all dressing room, and front of house helpers. Please do try to attend this as it is a good opportunity to meet your co-helpers and makes things run more smoothly for the children at the dress rehearsal and on the actual day. ONLY DRESSING ROOM HELPERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP AT THE DRESS REHEARSAL.

Other Ways You Can Help

Could you help front of house checking tickets showing people to their seats and selling raffle tickets. Or are you willing to stay after the evening performance to help tidy up? Our dancing family needs you so please do let us know what you can do.

Send A Good Luck Message

We include Good Luck messages in the printed programme- a lovely souvenir for our dancers.

Option 1 (Boxed)- £5.00

Option 2 ( Line)- £3.00

You can get a form from Harriet and CASH ONLY please. Deadline date for this is SATURDAY 14th December.
