VSD My Dancestore
We are very excited to announce that we are in the process of having our own My Dancestore on line. Unfortunately I am not 100% sure it will be ready at the start of this term. Please keep an eye out on our website. When it is up and running you will be able to buy all the necessary VSD uniform on line. We think that this is not only better during the situation but for you to be able to order it and have it delivered straight to your home will make things easy for you. In the meantime we have tights, Ballet socks and some Ballet shoes in stock for you. You may order uniform for your child and Harriet will send your child home with an invoice that must be paid before the uniform is ordered. Although Harriet will be around on Saturday mornings, she will be helping us with the new in & out system at dancing. So please either text the dance mobile or write it down and hand it to your child to give to her. It would be helpful to know your child’s shoe size. Thank you.
Very Important Information
On our website we have a Protocol for Protection against the Spread of COVID-19. Please do read it before coming to dancing as it has the information about entry and exit for classes etc.
We have spent a lot of time working out the safest way for the return of our dance classes, for pupils and staff, but are aware that once we have started we may need to re-adjust some measures so please keep an eye out regularly on the website. Thank you.
Please do not send your child to dancing with any toys and this includes our Tiny Tots. The kitchen will not be in use so please make sure your son or daughter has a named bottle of water with them. No fizzy drinks. Drinks for Tiny Tots are not necessary. We would like your child to arrive ready in dance uniform as only the seniors when needed are using the changing room this term. Dance shoes will be changed into on each pupil’s allocated chair. Parents and guardians are not allowed to enter the building, only if in an emergency would you be allowed in and only with a mask. Sorry things have to be like this at the present time.
As we were not able to hold Ballet Exams in July as planned we have decided to move the relevant classes up to the next Grade. Unless you have been informed your child’s class time remains the same but the name of the class might be different. For example Primary Ballet will now be Grade 1 Ballet and Grade 1 Ballet will now be Grade 2 Ballet. There is a time table on our website. The children going into Reception have moved into the Pre-Primary Ballet & tap class and we have moved some of our older children in that class into Grade 1 Ballet & Primary Tap which is now two separate classes. We will let you know if this concerns your child.
We are very much looking forward to seeing all of our wonderful VSD pupils – Children & Adults again.
